I was recently diagnosed with CRPS for the second time. i had it 18 months ago following a foot injury and it was successfully treated with 3 sympathetic blocks and neurontin. I fractured my tibia and now have it again. i have had 4 blocks and 2400 mg of neurontin but it has spread back to my other leg as well as the injured leg. Does anyone have any suggestions. I feel guilty being discouraged already - it has only been a few months. i am not sure I can deal with the pain again. the fracture was nothing compared to the CRPS.

I'm new as well and this is a great place to find encouragement. I get stuck in self-pity a lot and visiting this site has helped remind me that I'm really not that bad off; there are a lot of people in worse condition then me.
If u dealt with the pain b4, then u can do it again... I'm sure that ur doc can find just the right treatment 4 u.

I had an injury 3 1/2 years ago but now I found doctors to start treatment. Previous doctors didn't believe it was RSD so now it progressed. I just want my life back. I hate Washington state since people here are unfriendly, etc.
I am also staying in a relationship that I am unhappy in until I get better. No family and worked most of the time before so no friends. Was changing careers before this happened. Would like to know what works. It is in my left dominant hand and arm and just started to affect right hand.

What's that mean? Exactly? You were "cured", then, it happened again?
How soon, how long were you cured for? (Two questions).

This is a very complicated issue, and, I simply cannot get into the "Welcome aboard" type posts.

I need to know some facts.
Please, give them?
(Yes, You ARE at the right place, but, we need facts)!

How long after you were "Altogether cured", did the second incident, and onset (again two questions), happen? I'm not "drilling" you, but you'd better be prepared to answer this to your doctor!

I'd bet, that you Never were "cured" the first time.
The second injury just brought it to the fore, again.

If that can make sense for you.

Please, believe me,
I know what a second injury can do.
Nobody can choose their "victim"...

And, that's why us with rsd, must be so careful.
