Default Hello from Victoria, BC!

Hi there, my name is Deanna and I have Parkinson's Disease. I am 51 years old and was diagnosed in February. Unfortunately I will be leaving my job of 20 years after next week as my employer has decided that my "return to work trial" is not working out for them. As well as severe back pain, I have some cognitive issues that make doing my job difficult, as I am the last line of defence before items get placed on a government website. Not good to have mistakes! Oh well, this means early retirement and a chance to take care of myself. I have plans to attend the gym every day, only go three times a week now and also pursue other interests.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your informative group.

Deanna

Hello, Deanna,

So sorry that PD has disrupted your life. I'm sure it's not easy right now. Adjustments don't come easy. I guess that's why they're called "adjustments."

We're here if you have any questions about our forum. Just ask.
