Default I am glad I found friends
Hi, I was diagnosed about four years ago with mmncd, I have had one and a half years of IVIG therepy. I believe it has helped to slow the progressin of this problem. I started with a foot-drop, which has now grown to right sided weakness, and the use of a walker. I am 62 and have a great family support system, but I need friends who truely know what this is like. I do feel isolated. di2005

Hi di2005 and welcome to NeuroTalk. I don't know what mmncd stands for but I understand isolation. This is a great place to make friends, find support and exchange information. I'm glad you found us.

H Alffe, thanks for the welcome. MMNCD stands for Multifocal Motor Neuropothy With Conduction Blockage. It has taken away the use of my right leg and some of the left foot, started with a right foot drop. Do you know of it or someone who does? Any information would be welcome. Thanks di2005
