I would like to try this without having seen any of the words listed here. I think that may have influenced my looking, LOL. And that eloquent word, really!!!

I would not look at list, wonder how much agreement people would get from others about their choices. I have my own perception of elegant from a childhood of perceptions and few would be awarded that word from me (wouldn't even give it to me). I'm reminded of Rainman, everyone thinks they are an excellent driver!

NOW I looked at the list and get it. Elegant came up for me too! Ha I say. There are no negatives! I'm kinda Cranky. DH uses that B word sometimes. My Step-mother called me a little smart-***, I didn't see that one.
