ROF Doody! That was hilarious!

We don't have racoons here so have never even heard of this happening. The worst we get are possums who can do a similar thing, but are usually fairly easy to trap and relocate.

But... my mind boggled with images of how they might harvest fox urine!

Let me know what sort of music your racoon prefers.

We use a product up North called Deer Fortress...to keep the deer off my flowers. It is made of dried blood from some animal.

It upset the cats quite a bit for at least a week, when I put two canisters in my large pots on the shore. They wouldn't come down and sit with us. After a time they caved, but I think they were disturbed by the dead smell-- which we couldn't perceive.

Alot easier than fox urine, IMO !

(if you decide to try it...Amazon has the best prices. --up to 1/2 retail).

We have had to lure animals out from under our study at times (mostly possums).
I do it with tasty food. Feed them for a while, like a week, and then one night stay up, and when they come out...block off the opening! That has always worked for us.
Once a raccoon went into our garage (which is not really a garage), when we were working outside. I lured him out, with a turkey leg...he was happy as a clam!

LOL. Well, apparently momma raccoon doesn't mind Rush Limbaugh.

But here's my new account.

The animal control officer left a live trap on my porch yesterday and some canned cat food (Fancy Feast - they call it 'kitty crack'). They called and told me that if I couldn't figure out how to set the trap to call them and they would come over.

So....I tried and could not figure out for the life of me and called them. The lady came right over and set the trap and put it in the crawl space which I then covered back up. They told me to check each morning and night and call them right away if she was in there.

Before leaving for work this morning I dutifully go out to check her majesty's domain. Kitty Crack was very enticing because the can was in there, empty, and rolled to a different section of the cage. The trap door was tripped...and the trap door was also ripped off its hinges. No raccoon inside.

I'm guessing the cage is about 2' x 4'? Anyway, yup, she got trapped but it was of no nevermind to her!
