I had a year-long nasty case of frozen shoulder. Tried PT and various other treatments including a shot of cortizone. Finally my MD (who also has an acupuncture license) said let's try acupuncture. She gave me two treatments each lasting twenty minutes with needles attached to a mild electric current. The shoulder improved 50% after the first treatment, a week later 100% after the 2nd.
You can also get a lot of pain in the shoulder capsule if you use a computer mouse too much. If this is the case, try shifting to a track ball, and make sure your forearm is resting on something (chair arm) the same height as the trackball so that the fingers do all the work, and there is no shoulder movement.

Default Frozen shoulder and PD

PWP have it more than general population. Seems linked to inflammatory response.

Physical therapy for my shoulders has helped a lot, but I have to keep doing the exercises every day. I can really tell when I miss a few days.

Hi, I have found a direct correlation between taking a bit too much levodopa and severe, painful, muscle spasms. They have been in my ankle, knee, hip and yes, shoulder. I don't think everyone experiences this, But I DID have a neurologist insist that PD was not painful. Ahhh if he could have (tried) to walk a mile in my shoes the day I could not even step down on my foot, I guess he was right, because it wasn't the disease just the drug he gave me, huh? Might be worth looking into FG
