Well , the 24 degrees was the lowest the fava crop could go and still function (it was too cold for me to be outside , too.) Somehow, it looks like there is still life there, but that it is in suspended animation and will come back to life if we get a few warm days. I sent my fava tincture to Ken Allan in Canada to test. His news was : in 2 drops of tincture there is approximately 1 mg levadopa , which is a small but significant dose. This is the amount I have been taking about three times a day . He says , that he may try something similar next summer. Aunt Bean is getting ready to order more fava beans for planting the end of February here in TN. Will keep you all posted. Hoping to have more lab tests done on the tincture. Meantime, Aunt Bean is feeling good and ready to get back to planting more beans!
