Default Blood-Brain Barrier

Sorry to keep reverting to this topic, but it is the only way to try to draw it to research groups attention.
This reference says that opening of the BBB is causing neurological diseases. This is an interview with the respected Dr Blaylock, concerning the use of MSG in foods.

http://treeoflifent.wordpress.com/20...ou-are-eating/

"What they’ve shown is that there are glutamate receptors on both sides of the blood brain barrier and that when you expose these receptors to glutamate, it opens up the blood brain barrier. So, the glutamate itself can open the barrier, and I list all these conditions. For instance, as you get older, your barrier becomes less competent. Almost all Alzheimer’s patients have incompetent barriers. Heat stroke, seizures, autoimmune disorder and multiple sclerosis all are related with this active blood brain barrier."

Default Msg bbb

Ron brings up a good point. I have an unusually strong reaction to MSG. If I eat the wrong thing, within 30 minutes I am incapacitated and it lasts 4 to 6 hours. Meds are totally useless. Triple doses have no effect. Then the fog lifts and I'm back. The BBB opening for that period explains a lot.

Currently (2011) taking 200/50 Sinemet CR 8 times a day + 10/100 Sinemet 3 times a day. Functional 90% of waking day but fragile. Failure at exercise but still trying. Constantly experimenting. Beta blocker and ACE inhibitor at present. Currently (01/2013) taking ldopa/carbadopa 200/50 CR six times a day + 10/100 form 3 times daily. Functional 90% of day. Update 04/2013: L/C 200/50 8x; Beta Blocker; ACE Inhib; Ginger; Turmeric; Creatine; Magnesium; Potassium. Doing well.

I'm new to this "blood brain barrier" thing, but not to the MSG fog. I call it an MSG hangover. Doesn't effect me too much until the next day, but I'm basically incapacitated by it. Can you please try to explain what this has to do with the blood brain barrier? Thanks!
