Default cute

Steve,

Cute pic!
I'm still living in the wrong year, too.
LOL
Well, I am just getting over the flu.
I still have that nagging cough.

We are practicing for our program: "The
Wild, Wild West" at school...Yee Hah! We
are even doing a square dance. What fun!
The little angels are getting quite restless.
LOL

Can't wait to hit the trails on my mountain
bike again, now that I am better.

I went horseback riding a few weeks ago
and got thrown from the horse. Ouch!
But, I got back on. I swear that horse
was laughing at me!

I am determined to try new things and
live life to its fullest while I still can.

Doctor visit.......yuck. My doctor doesn't
remember me from one visit to the next!
Nothing different.

Here's a hug for all of you.
Love ya,
Mary Frances

Hi all!
Steve, we've had Northeastern blowing the last two weeks, which is this area means ice-cold, dry Siberian weather. It's been ruining the cherry and apple blossoms, but at least it didn't rain. Today it's gotten milder, though, and my muscles feel better.

Hey, one good thing about that idiot Imus: at last the issue of the way women in general are being treated and portrayed in the media is on the table. I don't know how many times a week I hear the word "*****" on American TV shows. I'm apalled by the way women are portrayed in ads of every king. It's been freaking me out. Finally somebody has stepped over the line and everybody is in an uproar. It was about time!

Mary Frances, your doctor doesn't remember you from one visit to the next? Maybe he's a secret parkie!
Not remembering peoples' faces is one of the things that really bugs me, because I used to never forgot a face or a name before. In fact, my hubby used to ask [I]me[I] the names of some of his relatives, because he's a disaster with names, but now he's gonna have to try harder - my memory is not to be trusted anymore.

Tip of the week: do yourselves a favour and get the complete DVD set of the Monty Python Flying Circus. I've been rolling off the sofa with laughter and humour is what we need most.

Hugs
Teresa

Default Monty etc.

My personal favorite is Fawlty Towers. John Cleeses recently said he's not as funny as he used to be since he went for psychotherapy...Hmmm

Maryfrancis: Wear or do something memorable next time you go see him. Suggestions: Bring him a bag of cabbages, or take your goldfish with you, preferably in a jar tied around your neck, or put your blouse on backwards. If he still doesn't remember you, there is a possibility he's in worse shape than you. Be grateful your not married to him

Default Humour

Teresa

Have you seen the comedy series "Green Wing". If you like Monty Python you should like Green Wing too. Wonderfully different in the way that Python was 30+ years ago. It aired on CH4 here in the UK and there have been 2 series todate. It's available on DVD.

Default well.......

Rosebud,

You won't believe this, but I thought I did wear something memorable.
LOL
I wore 3" black heeled stelletos with a short silk dress and my hair was curled!
Not to mention I was the youngest patient there. Go figure...

If he doesn't remember me next 6 mos. (6 mos???), maybe he's not a lady's man??
Or maybe I am losing my appeal.
LOL

Oh well, maybe it's time to change doctors.

Thanks for the tip, Chris, I'll look for it on eBay. Green Wing hasn't been shown on TV in Spain yet, I guess some British comedy series are too difficult to translate - British humour is so very specific - and they are best left in English (I'm still laughing about the Monty Python sketch were cannibal blancmanges from outer space invade England and turn all Englishmen into Scots to empty the country of good tennis players, so they can win the Wimbledon tournament; everybody knows that the Scots are the world's worst tennis players )

One of my all-time favourites were "The Young Ones", I never saw anything crazier in my entire life! What a riot they were!

Rosebud, I never missed a chapter of Fawlty Towers either. One of my favourite characters was the dopey Spanish waiter, he just killed me!
I think John Cleese is still very funny, but his roles have changed over the years too.
Of the Monty Python gang the funniest to me is Terry Jones when he impersonates old ladies, English or otherwise (he can even knit!).
