Default Well...

....this is wonderful...all you musicians coming out of the closet. If we lived close to each other we could start our own Parkie Band. There`d be a hell of a lot of trilling going on.I can double and triple tongue now, better than I ever could at music college.Vicky...I was a flautist too.
My best friend played the bassoon..[the one who went flying across the stage with me on an industrial vaccuum cleaner...for those from braintalk 1 who remember my sorrowful tale!!!]
And if anyon e is familiar with the seating arrangements of a concert band...you will know that the bassoonnists sit opposite the flautists [imagine a huge semi circle...flutes one side at the front...bassoonists the other side at the front]
Well half way through a piece...YES ..EVEN WITH AN AUDIENCE PRESENT...I would be on tenterhooks cos I knew for sure at some time during the repertoire,,,I would see out of the corner of my eye, my friend oik her huge bassoon on to her shoulder and use it as a blunderbuss. And without exception...she would do the sound effects...the kickback and the rest...then lower her instriument and continue as if nothing had happened.
BLINK BLINK.By this time I would be wetting myself with laughter...the audience would be on the floor and I knew that after the performanc,my friend and I would be in for a dressing down.
Thanks for the support over my choice of instrument.I really can take this very good criticism in the positive light it is meant...on the chin...and take some one elses ideas on board.
But then again...maybe I should go back to just being happy with messing about for my own pleasure. We shall see.
I am thrilled that you musicians are all coming to the fore. You b*****y clever bunch.
xxx

You know I just read Harley's poem she put in here and I had your music on as I read it and just sat back and relaxed sort of in misery. Feeling sorry for myself today. Had a really good day yesterday but needed one today. Didn't come and here I sit once again.

But you know as I listened and read the words in my mind my voice came as with the voice of Michael.

You three together..............................I will buy it

Great poetry....a classical pianist? How many more musicians do we have on this site?
Heavens...this is fabulous!

And your stuff is so unique,clever....inspiring.

What do you reckon...a bit of therapy here and a focus.

What if....one of us writes something...
Could be Harleys poems...Michaels words...Vicky on the oboe? Is that right Vicky?
Daffy on guitar...me on the keybd..Harley on key board//
Don`t know...just one of us start a tune or something...then one by one we add our little bit to it....and see what happens?
Well it`s either going to be great or a Godawful mess!!!!! lol
One or the other but it would be a fun experiment....music collaboration across the miles.

ok...badddddddddddddddddd idea.

thanks Harley...brilliant....awesome.

Default WOW, Laura

What a fantastic collection of your poetry. You've still got it, kiddo. There is such depth in your beautifully penned word pictures.
