dear ibbey -
yes - I came across her theory @ pd recovery 2 years ago, and I do not think it is totally all there, as I have been researching for 10 years full steam, and we are all electric, we therefore have electric currents - the synapes -the neural firing -the neurotransmitting - I do find it encouraging that she has quotes from Dr. James Parkinson's, but not all of us have hurt our feet, but the transfer of electrical impulses run from the crown of our heads to through what some refer to as the chakras system -today we would call that - the spinal cord system and some of us have walked into PD many different ways - I believe it is lowblood sugar, and toxicity, the mineral depletions in our food - the people of the USA have learned a bad way of eating - some of us have injured necks and other parts of our spinal cord in car accidents - my girlfriend who died at 34 - her mom believes that her daughter had ran full speed without paying attention as a child into a tree, and had severe face and neck trauma, and that after that accident at age 6 years or so -she never moved very fast again... and the children at school called her grandma because of the slow walking perhaps the dragging of her feet... I know the medicines can help at first but the medicines are not a cure -yet if we allow the medication to deplete the electrolytes or the vitamins or we have poor immune systems caused by the overmedicating with anti -biotics which kill the flora in our gut - we are going to be toxic -and suffer a reprecussion of many unhealthy - I will call them downword spirals - and we can be out of allignment -pH balance of blood running overly acid - poor diet - toxic lifestyles -"multi taking" over worrying - completely without peace - and no harmony if you have faith in God and lean on him - for me that is where my life is coming from the source of life is light and salt is the foundation of health... our inner ocean is polluted, our polarity is bad to non existant. going off medicine completely - I will not do this... if I am healed or cured -I will just not need to take them anymore and yes - carbi dopa leva dopa does deplete our bodies of pottassium and other essential minerals but it is not to worry because worry makes us acid -acid makes our blood acid - acidity blocks the meds from workoing correctly, rick /rev/ reverret has part of the equation going - and howard from austrailia has another part of the equation he is working on -the pH values - and I am working on the hypoglycemia aspect, and we have an english gentleman working on the blood brain barrier theory and we have brilliant doctors whom I trust still wanting to cure us, so do not despair - and if your meds help you take them but not alot of meds, without the knowledge of depletion, but we must live one day at a time -we must eat every few hours so we know the laws of fueling and depletion - and my friend cs is working on the psyche of the thinking brain - and he is another part of the total picture - luv and light and health to you all -

Hello dear friends.
Well, I read Janice W-H's book, too, and had very conflicting feelings about it. Yes, in many, many ways she is spot-on, describing some of the aspects of PD with a clarity and accuracy that I have seen nowhere else. But I found her conclusions horrifingly depressing, and almost like she was condemning those of us who are stuck on PD meds as a quarantined ship of lepers with no hope.... there were also things I disagreed with, such as her characterization of what we are like during an on period as maniacal and irrational, unable to admit that we are being badly influenced by these drugs....no one I know is like that. Yes, there often is a 'high' kind of feeling, but it's mainly relief because you just can't believe how bad you felt during the off period and how good it feels to be normalish again. Everyone I know talks about the imperfection of the on time and most of my acquaintances and myself would give anything to not be on these drugs. Given that she acknowledges how important stress and perception are to PD people, I am at odds with her negativity in terms of imagining a positive outcome for us. I found ultimately reading her book a real downer, although I think the advice to make changes in drug regimen very, very slowly is probably right on the money. |
