Colon "cleansing" is not a good idea. In fact the cleansing for colonoscopies can increase the risk of cancer if not followed by probiotics. We are supposed to have a healthy balance of fauna and flora in our gut.

Problems arise from inflammation, antibiotics use, too much sugar and refined foods, and foods we become sensitized to (gluten and dairy is common).

Constipation is not good, but neither is "cleansing".
