Happy New Year Everyone!!

I'll feel better tomorow when this year is gone..Actually, I will feel better when today is gone..Not a good day, and not a good week, not a good year..Ive been going through hell when I am not medicated early in the morning and at night

So my resolution is to do something different..I just dont know what that is right now

Maybe you are right Lindy..Exercise might be a good place to start

Default Happy Happy

I have learned that keeping these short increases my chances of success in actually seeing them through...

I plan to overhaul my diet with paleo-ketogenic basis.

I am beginning to read and implement "One Year to an Organized Life" by
Regina Leeds.

Happy New Year!

Laura

Smile me too

Hi All, a newbie here but know that I'm with you Lindy. I'll hike more, balance drills, relaxation (play with grand kids) and eat more macrobiotic. PROMISE!
Tx for the reminder Don

Heart New Year's should'a would'a could'a

New Year’s Should’a, Would’a, Could’a

As I celebrate a brand new year
‘Thinkin what I should’a been do’in,
The list I’m makin’ looks familiar
Last years, in one week, pillaged, ruined.

Today’s disasters that cause tears
Be tomorrows laughter-tales heard.
Future things that I most fear
May never even occur.

So my list is hopeful & brief.
My wish, to give selfless gifts
Of love, to listen to others need &
To wake up each morn & live.

Default resolutions

I wish everyone a happy, healthy New Year, and hereby resolve to:
  1. exercise because it feels good not because I should
  2. wear more gowns
  3. raise money toward a cure AND to help PWP in the here and now
  4. smile at my children (and everyone) more frequently, even if it takes effort
  5. become my own Muse
  6. follow the 5:1 rule of 5 praises to every 1 suggestion and apply it to PD: 5 words of hope, gratitude and optimism for every 1 word of complaint
  7. launch project FREEZE! marrying PD activism and art
  8. form a PWP circus and invite Laura to meet me at the trapeze!

Well, it's a draft anyway...actual results may vary. Love to all,
Rose

Okay,

I am already with you on the last two. We just need more momentum...
As for the 5:1 ratio, I am adding that to my list with mods. Mine will be the 1
smile:1 complaint a day ratio. I must think of one thing per day that brlngs on a
smile for each complaint. Baby steps....

Lightbulb 2011

Thanks for starting this, Lindy

Personally - I have to exercise more. No excuses!

In Advocacy - keep doing whatever I can because one person (or two or a handful) CAN make a difference. I just checked pdplan4life web stats and found that someone in Iran had searched Google on "what to do with Parkinsons." They found pdplanlife and downloaded the brochures Sheryl & I had written about exercise, clinical trials, and advocacy. How amazing is that?
