Default How a Positive Outlook Can Transform Our Health and Aging

I eagerly look forward to lazy afternoons on the porch with a good book, a glass of iced green tea (or wine) and the exuberant sounds of children at the nearby playground. Being an optimist, I am excited to add the book Up by Hilary Tindle, M.D., M.P.H. to my summer reading list.

But no reading for me yet…I’m frantically cleaning, baking, cooking, planning activities and mentally preparing for the annual transformation of my home becoming “Camp Grandma” next week. Now the little girls attending this camp have no idea that the camp social director (that would be me) has this thing called PD.

You can be sure that I will employ every ounce of positive attitude that I can muster to make sure a good time is had by all. I will expect the best and good things will happen.

I’ll collapse on the porch and read the book after the happy campers leave!
