well, they found the source of the pain. they did an mri and found i have bilateral neurosomethingorother stenosis on c5 and c6. this is where arthritis builds up in the canal where the nerves pass through and eventually blocks the nerves from working correctly and causing pain. it is fixable through scraping the canal surgically with a small risk of it returning.. so! heads up if you have spine or neck pain!

That's very interesting, What the doctors told you about your spine. It's crazy that you had to suffer all these years from being misdiagnosed. I'm so happy for you, you now have a medical procedure that can hopefully eliminate your pain and suffering. I will pray that this procedure will be your salvation. When is your operation?

I also have back problems. I was told by my neurosurgeon that I've originally injured my back when I was quite young (under 5), but I don't remember anything and unfortunately both my parents are deceased. I felt fine all my life, until I re-injured my back a couple of years ago. Since then, I've been trying to heal myself with physiotherapy, core exercises, chiropractor treatments, etc., but without much success. I was trying to avoid having a spinal fusion done. I was told that this operation might take 4 to 6 months to recover, I'll just add that to my list of recovery.
I have Grade III spondylolisthesis of L4 on L5 with bilateral L4 spondylolysis. Severe degenerative disc and facet disease with posterior disc impinging on both L4 & L5 nerve roots. Sounds like Chinese to me, all I know is that my legs gone numb whenever I go walking. I have an appointment to see my back surgeon again in a couple of weeks. It took me awhile to accept this, like PD. I'm now ready to have this operation and hearing about your condition only encourages me, Thank you.
I'm hoping we'll both benefit from this.

i still have a lack of dopamine as the daTscan shows. so it is still considered a form of pdism. this pain thingy is separate but has landed me in the hospital several times over the past year. once the docs hear you have pd, they immediatly associate everything with it. i am just happy to finally find it is not pd related though it frustrates me that it took going to cleveland to hear those words.

good grief max.. all that nerve damage from so many back problems. makes ya wonder, eh?
