Default more cause for cynicism towards big pharma

Ugh, as if I weren't cynical enough about our pharmaceutical industry lately, I'vs learned that Merck publishes a book about diagnosing blood disorders. Just happened to see this by chance on this site:

http://healthlibrary.stanford.edu/re...treatment.html

I had heard that pharma is heavily involved in creating the curriculum for medical schools, as if that's not bad enough, but they also write the books used.

Talk about conflict of interest.
