Default Another version of Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace is one song you can play anywhere in the world - in hundreds of different languages. The extent to which that song is embedded in human consciousness is remarkable.
My wife and I have had a lot of contact with the Inuit, from time to time, in the Eastern Arctic. They are very spiritual, religious, soul-full.
Here, saluting Paula and re-inforcing Michael's love of the song, is Amazing Grace in Inuktitut, by Susan Aglukark, with the Northern Lights

I spoke to Paula last week. she had experienced a few weeks when she was feeling better, able to eat more and had gained back a few of the pounds she had lost. We thought maybe she was getting a reprieve. but last week she said she was in a lot of pain and was put on morphine. she said it helped relieve the pain, but she didn't like what it did to her thinking abilities.

that's all that i know -- i have n't been able to reach her since then. i don't think she is reading her emmail, or maybe she's just not able to respond. I believe she knows how much she is loved by her fellow Neurotalk members.

Does anyone else know more?

Default Little time left

My husband and I arrived a week ago at the home she and one of her daughters share. We are staying ini a motel and go over there every day. For the first few days we had some good times and some shaky times, then things were very tough with few lucid moments. Yesterday the family were informed by the hospice people that Paula would depart this world in most likely 24-72 hours, and we were told when we arrived for the day. She did have a few lucid moments, and was still faith- filled and funny. Friends and family were gathering; love flowed among us all, but I will let others tell their own stories.

Yesterday I sang a few hymns for her and read some Psalms aloud. Today. I read some prayers as well as saying my own.Paula has been freely expressing deep love and friendship. As we left for the day, about 6:00 pm, she was still holding on to Life
.

Friends, I'll try to write again soon.

Jaye

Default I know, Paula,

That you are not afraid, well, maybe a bit unsure, that we will live on, forever. I never communicated with you , but I can feel your mind through the, well , I won't say anything unscientific, but just feel your mind.
Peace be with you, my dear, and may your spirit be with all of us. We'll all be one, someday, just as we were , long ago. See you on the other side, soon. Cs
