Default Is to much research harmful to PD patients.

Hi,
In my town ,rochester ny there is only one hosptial (string)that sees PD patients. It takes almost a year to see a movement disorder doctor.
As of now with over twenty MD doctors only one is taking new patients.
The reason given to me was all the doctors are tied up with research. Now the clevland clinic only takes a week to see a doctor.
To much questionable research keeping patients from being seen by a doctor.

Seems like it if the only way you can see a doctor is to qualify for a clinical trial. My doctors have been researchers and never had any sort of delay in seeing them. Sounds like you will need to travel. In the meanwhile, I would start complaining about this practice and start at the top. Yeesh.
