If you watch his appearances since the beginning of this year, you will see some steady positive changes in his condition. I should say he was not in good shape before. This means there is something working for him, and that is so important to all of us!

Here's a blog post from the Fox foundation that addresses the regimen question:
https://www.michaeljfox.org/foundati...-New-Show-Drug Amantadine seems to be working well for MJF; it doesn't agree with everyone.

This is not the first time Michael's treatment regimen has been raised/discussed in the public domain. In this case, people and stories are speculating about a recent change in meds and/or hint at secret and exclusive access to drugs that are enabling him to return to network TV with a series.
Michael has publicly discussed his better-managed-symptoms over the last couple of years. He has referenced his individual “drug cocktail” in combination with an active lifestyle. In particular, he has shared is personal experience/benefit with the drug amantadine, which, while not an approved treatment for dyskinesia, is commonly prescribed off-label to address the disabling side effect of long-term levodopa therapy. However, in all aspects of Parkinson's disease, patients’ experiences vary widely. It is known that responses to amantadine are far from consistent across patients, and the drug is not well-tolerated by everyone. Some of the more common side effects include blurred vision, digestive issues, dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness and trouble sleeping. But, it is, as always, critical that anyone living with Parkinson's work closely with their physician to determine their own, optimal treatment regimen. It bears repeating: the medicines or combinations of medications that work for Michael J. Fox (or any individual patient) don’t work for everyone.
