Default L-Tyrozine benefits?

Hi folks, a long time since a placed a post, still moving through the diagnostic haze/maze/craze. DaT scan comes back negative, PET scan shows and I quote "this result is telling me you have what the DaT scan says you don't" unquote. Consultant has mentioned Lewey Bodies though so I must also keep LBD in mind. In any case basically I am playing the waiting game until the consultants make their mind up.
My daughter who has a medical laboratory background suggested I try Tyrosene as it is an ensyme used to help create Dopamine. I asked my general parctitioner who thought it was a bad idea. However I had a very difficult weekend and decided to try some from the local health store. Within a couple of days I feel more alert and less confused. My energy level has gone up and co-ordination improved (these are slight changes but at the moment anything that can improve my daily life I will give it a go).
Has anyone heard of any side effects that would give me cause to stop taking these. Only trying 500mg a day, tablet form.

I would suggest Dopavite, a more complete formulation of amino acids, designed for pwps.

If I had life to live over, I would not pursue a dx for pd; it merely triggers a protocol of ultimately harmful meds. You will be at no loss simply pursuing better nutrition and practices of living that are well balanced.

Default Dopavite

I had heard of Dopavite before but some reviews were not positive, as I say I just want to improve my quality of life so will probably hunt it out. Exercise or just doing too much can wipe me out for a day or two. I am starting to agree with your opinion on diagnosis though as yet the consultant has decided against any pills. Thanks for the info.

Default mitochondria

my opinion is it never hurts to boost one's mitochondria. you could search for postings about mitochondrial enhancement, mitochondrial dysfunction, mitochondria, etc on this forum to read past postings. best of luck to you, madelyn

I'm in touch with some of these folk and they are enormously helpful. I hope to travel from Ireland to be there - that's a measure of my respect for them.
