Default Exercise 8 years into PD

I too am a great fan of walking. I don't really think of it as exercise (although it obviously is); it's just living: walking to the shops, walking to the hospital or, my favorite, four days a week: 2 miles there and 2 miles back from crown green bowling.

Crown green bowling is similar to lawn bowls which is played in the south of England, Australia and in some places in the US.

It's got very popular with my local PD support group. Its combination of precise movements required to bowl accurately, short walks between ends and bending down to pick up the bowls along with a good social life seems to suit the needs of PwP well.

Are there any other bowlers here?

John

Question Parkinson's Disease with chronic back pain

Hello, my name is Roseann and my dear father at age 81 has parkinson's disease for about 3 years now. he is very active although has slowed immensely in his bodily movements. Recently he is experiencing severe chronic back pain. he visited a pain management doctor on Monday. He ordered an epidural for dad at a local hospital. My concerns are Is this safe? and considerable to weakness noted in both lower extremities i fear this may have not been a good choice. What are your expertise views in this area?
