Jan's been using what she calls her "space cadet" glasses from Medigait for the past two years. They project a pattern of squares in front of you as you walk, and earphones click at the pace you elect to walk to reinforce your own cadence. This kind of approach really loosens up the body. She's regained arm swing and can go from uncertain gait to striding up and down the block. The glasses can be worn around the house, but it's really on unimpeded, longer walks that they help you strut your stuff. Supposedly, wearing them 20 minutes a day helps the brain to repattern. Good stuff.
