Great advice! If you don't lose muscles you lose them over time!

That being active decreases one's risk of disability later seems obvious, but what I like is that the article focuses on whether one is active as opposed to the type of activity. Simple walking around the block, weeding the yard, raking leaves, sweeping, just moving vs. sitting, these all cost nothing and can be done anytime the weather permits, is very good for us.

Keep on movin', and eating your veggies

All well and good until you can't. I have been saying this to my GP and co for a while now. Managed to get the treatment that made a difference and they stopped it as soon as it started working within week back at square one, I know what will work, but cannot make GP budge. The funny thing is it improves PD to a degree too, which was unexpected, and though never did improve the off time tight chest and brething problem I thought it would. Nevertheless it is considered of placebo value only. Yikes, when will they start listening to patients.
