Cool Over organized and Underutilized

Jeesh, a good percentage of drivel on all sides and now whining to moderators that threads are being hijaaked OhMyDear. At least it is action.

Threads do regularly appear to go off topic and it just depends on the point of view on the message as to the particular path being appropriate or not. There are IMHO bad examples for almost everyone.

It seems to me to be a case of amateur medical researchers vs. amateur medical reposters and sometimes I ignore both.

And is it part of PD to threaten to take your ball and go home? - we seem to get that a lot here.

Feel free to in this thread --
  • complain
  • insult gently
  • ignore
  • post off topic
  • post science
  • post drivel (sometimes the same)
  • repost articles ( there can never be too many pages )
  • or even talk about F1 or rugby
  • me - I make sawdust and almost never post a weekly update

take care ,,, ken

Default Fair enough

I think this is a good thread. And in the spirit in which it is written, but not angrily I ask:

How many types of posts do the same few people have to make to entertain you better? Why don't you post more often....you might actually enjoy it. Are we supposed to think of and post everything?

I am entertained and sometimes not by anything and everything and anywhere from 0 - 10000 posts. I made no demands and have no expectations. Early on I realized that too much Braintalk was bad for anyone.

I dont get a thrill out of posting, am not social particularly, do things outside of neurotalk, my theories are sufficiently underdeveloped and undocumented so as not to provide a satisfactory basis for discussion on a BBS, hostile contact with "senior" Braintalk inhabitant .... and I am sure not many want to hear about my week.

As one Burnaby rresident to another welcome and this is Neurotalk. Like they used to say on an old radio program

hello this is Neurotalk where the elite meet to eat and have a chat

Isn't Hamilton cute?

Did you ever race here at Mission or Westwood.

Got to go but hey lets talk later

Must have something in common seeing as we are both here.

Default KC...

I guess that this place is what it is. No forcimg anyone to do anything, it will continue to exist simply by the sheer numbers of PWP and their wanting a good place to go.
I think that we could all be refreshed by new contributions, but that's up to those in the stadium that will take the bat in hand a give the ball a good sluggin'. cs

Default Just to be clear

I like things the way they are and was complaining against sub forums and complaints of hijaked threads.

CS said it best

I think is the good way to run this. And just because something doesnt meet my approval doesnt mean it should stop or be removed.

Thelma, weve talked before and the best phrase ever was when you said ... and it applies for me as well ... paraphrasing .... "At least were not gushy"

And I have little interest in racing -Including F1 and especially in the checkin thread but do remember Westwood and Mission from my younger days. I am interested in old sports cars though and have a rusted hulk of a TR250 on which yard waste has been dumped and the garage colapsed on top of the whole mess..... problems

My list in the original message were not my interests but items that might bother me in another thread but I wanted nothing to be considered off base in this thread.

Oh, sometimes I am a little convuleted and abstract and consequently am misunderstood but I just say to myself -- maybe they will keep up next time.
I thought Hamilton was a city not a who although there is a Richard Hamilton that plays for the pistons.

Its only 12:30 am here now so only a couple of hours to bed time .
