In homeopathy school I was taught to ask deeply the question of what is it that needs to be healed as our patients would present a plethora of dilemmas alongside a central complaint. For example; she comes to you with a skin rash. But whilst taking her case you observe a deep frustration with inability to focus.....as if she had stared at the sun too long and became herself like a noble gas unable t o summon her earthly roots...partially in the body but only partially. Most of us have heard the analogy likening the expression of our symptoms to layers of an onion - but I think that is far too linear in concept however is useful nonetheless.
Central to parkinsons(isms included) is the issue of supply and bioavailability of dopamine - the brain chemical associated with addiction and/or its opposite. It seems we need to be taking a very good look at what this most obvious clue to our pathos is telling us about ourselves. Addiction comes in many forms not the least among them are codependency in relationships -one not so easily acknowledged but may hold central clues towards making whole our fractured selves. Our appetite for sweet foods may be reflective not only of a physiological imbalance but also one of the psyche. But a question becomes which came first ...the psychological pattern or the physiological response...could be either - perhaps it doesn't matter unless addressing the psyche could effect physiological healing. The following information remiinds me of the concepts put forth in the science of epigenetics and what a primary role the environment plays in determining ones' experience. http://wakeup-world.com/2015/05/26/t...hat-you-think/

. If the early onset PWP historically has been held hostage to this metabolic deficiency since birth, then it seems spiritual challenges to the will power will lie at the heart of the trajectory of their life (consider the ripple effect). If our body struggles to produce ATP wouldn't it follow that like a person drowning that knows not how to swim our body will call for glucose and perhaps other forms of fuel such as inspiration any way it can get it-thus the impatience to bond (explains relationship to dopamine/addiction) would present itself perpetuating the flight/fight response. Knowing that this issue is encoded in my genes helps me to forgive myself for weaknesses I was born with. Intuitively I have felt that 5th chakra ( a primary locus of willpower issues which can be expressed at both polar ends i.e. weak vs strong; thus the adrenal role in the latter....) is central to parkinsonism. Quite an irony to be born with cells that don't naturally easily produce ATP ....would be the psychological equivalent to a death wish (or its opposite depending on whether one is grooved into the adrenal response) ~the MTHFR gene sooooo aptly named........

I tend towards being cryptic and look to metaphor and paradox often for perspective so please forgive the confusion that may create...just my nature I guess. But here I am attempting to articulate what it feels like to inhabit a body that has a confused electrical system (taking subjective leave ).....to recognize the patterns, that express on multiple levels. For example, say a person presents with a very high fever.......flushed red face......they tend to have a hot quick temper....very dry skin .....intense personality. Do you see the pattern emerging here? From this you might deduce that they may also suffer from constipation (dry stools, have tremendous thirst, dry cough etc etc) So it strikes me as very significant that in parkinsons the tremor initiates with rest and relaxation....that ATP production is thwarted begging the question of how these features are reflected in other ways. Anemia has been observed commonly in PWP. ...our blood is manufactured in our bone marrow (?)isn't it?Is there a correlation between anemia and insufficient ATP production???hmmm! So in the quest for life force, for vitality... we adapt.... possibly by overriding the Autonomic Nervous System ( which supposedly isn't possible until you watch badboys' video about the iceman) here: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread224061.html through somehow habituating the flight /fight mode with our will....which creates a dillemma with the 5th chakra/where personal will meets divine will. It just seems like I tend to see/do things sort of backwards....and just wonder how that is ever musing....and curious - MD

Hi moondaughter
"our blood is manufactured in our bone marrow (?)isn't it?" Yes - bone marrow contains what are called haematopoetic stem cells - these stem cells are responsible for producing all of the different kinds of blood cells. "Is there a correlation between anemia and insufficient ATP production???" Yes, but indirectly. Anemia is a generic term, describing people who have abnormally low levels of red blood cells (there are many possible reasons for this). The main job of red blood cells is to transport oxygen round the body, delivering it to all tissues. All tissues need oxygen to make ATP (a process called oxidative phosphorylation).
