My dad had BP issues - (not on Hinz on protocol ) extreme highs and fainting /falling/ER many times ...
Turns out that was related to his additional meds, we reduced & then eliminated one at a time to track it down, with drs approval ..
There was also increased delusions/hallucinations - which resolved luckily with the stopping of these extra meds.
Mirapex (generic)
Vesicare & Flo Max - also tried any older one but it didn't help w/ night-time bladder issues either so we stopped it.

Currently dad does get some low BP fluctuations, but after a deep nap he is refreshed and fine. But no more extreme high BP w/passing /falling / trips to ER...from hitting head on floor..

He was able to take those other meds for quite awhile ,before having the high BP, but maybe age (80+) or it just became too much extra stuff accumulating for his system to deal with..

My thought is look at any other meds you are taking , even if they were fine for you for quite awhile, you might be able to eliminate something and feel better..

Thx , yes its very strange condition , my dad was on mirapex/CL too befor hinz protocol , he had exactly your father symptoms . As GerryW mentioned , seems managing BP high/low problems was not possible easily by his doctor.
My father was better last week , but i tried to increase tyrosine dose to minimize off times . Maybe its related to this matter or i am in doupt to increase serotonin level too to solve BP h/l problem. For this reason i would like to know what changes in amino acids of GerryW lead him to imbalance condition and BP problems .

also, i doubt any neuro would object to your adding .25mg of sinemet at a time to find out if a higher dose would give you more on time and/or better tremor relief, it wouldn't take long to try that without any damage going back down. i've read that over 250mg really isn't going to help, and once you get to 250mg don't go higher , shorten the intervals which in your case couldn't. can you tolerate an agonist? from what i've read on boards, generic requipxl works well for some, others can't tolerate the generic but recently on the NPF ask the pharmacist board there was discussion by someone who did well on brand name requipxl, had to switch to generic, didn't do well but by chance got the rx filled at another pharmacy that gave him/her a different generic and she did better.

seems like a lot of the brits who post here are on generic requipxl.

bottom line, nothing to lose and you need to be able to exercise imho and stay in shape for when the "cure" arrives.
Soccertese, my current meds and supps are on my signature. They contain no amino acids. The doc initially put me on just 1 cd/ld 4 times daily but I was so dysfunctional I upped myself to taking one every 2 hours. The doc told me to stop that. I've always been on the Hinz protocol so I have never taken an agonist. My on times are now about an hour and a half, unless, of course, I eat. The doc has a lot more meds she is willing to throw at it but she insists upon another couple of months wait. In the meantime I am camped out by the door waiting for the cure to arrive. Thanks for the suggestions.

I am trying this protocol on my father and its very important for me to know about this . Coz my father have exactly BP problem like you report . Thx
Engsec, I seem to recall getting increased to 37 g per day of Mucuna. Tyrosine dose bounced around but I think I was taking less. Your father should be adjusted by the urine test so my experience might not be relevant to his condition. Dr. Stein seemed not to keep records of my doses so would always ask me how much I was taking then often increasing or decreasing without the lab tests.
