Post a positve poem

Little stones make big mountains
Little steps can cover miles
Little acts of loving-kindness
Give the world its biggest smiles

Little words can soothe big troubles
Little hugs can dry big tears
Little candles light the darkness
Little memories last for years

Little dreams can lead to greatness
Little victories to success
It's the little things in life
That brings the greatest happiness

From my younger daughter. a mother (28):
"very touchy and wonderfull, i love it and will write it in my book
thanks babati for sending this to me"

and from my older doughter (30), married:
"Babaty , thank you so much for the poem , i will try to memorise it "

Default healing thought for the day

Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly, and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love. (Leo Buscaglia)

Default what do you do when every thing seems black?

This is meant to be a positive thread .. but today i feel down and right at the bottom ..life seems without meaning and offers no pleasures to me ..there is no rush of dopamine needed to excite my blank mind and awaken hope..
... clinickly they call it depression .. and I take tablets for that too..
...I will do my exercise as a duty ... with not much pleasure.. I will use what is left of intellect to trick my mind into positive attitude ..
I hope to come back tomorrooooooow .. If ever

I am an unabashed lover of movies. I get blue on the weekends because my grandson goes to his other grandparents. My daughter works and goes off with friends and I am alone. In the daytime, I enjoy it and have things to do, but at night I can get the blues.

So I watch movies. I have all the cable stations and can purchase more through cable. They take my mind off of my aloneness.

I used to do this by reading and still do when my eyes and concentration are working well. But one way or another, I try to escape the blues by focusing on something else.

Of course I wouldn't recommend any tearjerkers! Sometimes I get in the mood for the old Turner classics - the women were so glamorous. But yesterday I watched the Mask, one of the most bizarre Jim Carrey movies ever. And, because it was on the same channel, George of the Jungle. ha

Silliness is like medicine for me. Hope you find something to help you feel better.

dear dear imark,

when all I have appears to be black -
sometimes my eyes start leaking and it appears that I'm going to cry
my routine - cry & get all stuffy then blow my nose -turn on the stove fill the teakettle~
and boil water for the teabags I will need to take the puffy eyelook away...
so no one will ask me - have you been crying?
then I tell myself -okay we're done - and I decide to try to be done with that mood...

and -...

then I turn on a funny movie, (just like Paula does) will turn on the TV/ or look up funny things, or just walk away from the computer and go outside... It's a hard job that - be happy -positive stuff, but you know
I am a very tough lil ole parkie!

Default CTenaLouise, imark, Paula-

[Dear all of you -
Thank you for sharing, I do feel normal and glad after reading about your struggle and victories.
We are sharing the same destiny and this is a splendid club, thank you for your poems and advice .
I read the book , The Witch of Portebello by Paulo Coelho. Very good, I don`t read it, I listen to the book when I am tired.

Annelise

Default prayer

Thank you dear Tena, Paula and Annelise ..
I am not religious in a conventional way but I had the following simple prayer to get me through the day ..
..
Thank you God
You are the beholder of all mysteries
Thank you for all your offerings
In my health and illness
In my poverty and wealth
In my weakness and strength
Thank you for giving me one more day
To see all my family healthy and happy
Thank you for giving me the strength
To bear the pain and sadness
And the humility of acceptance
Thank you god for all your offerings
