Hey everyone,
Several months ago, I told you that my big toe on my right foot was curling, thus taking the other toes with, causing my gait to be off, and then my entire leg would be painfully achy. To combat this, I tried to wear tight fitting sandals so as not to give the toe room to curl. This worked pretty well, and in Barcelona I also carried at least one other pair of shoes and interchanged them quite regularly. Anyway, when we got back, I needed some foot powder amongst other things. While looking, I found something called "toe spacers". They come in a pack of two and are squishy, made of a gel of some sort. I put one in between my big toe and the one next to it ... and voila' ... my toe seems to straighten out. Not 100% of the time, but at least 85%. I sure can't beat that! When I try to explain my toe, I think of an elderly person whose toes are becoming gnarled and do exactly as I described. As a matter of fact, I'm wondering if there is another topic (Alzheimer's??) that this may benefit others. Just thought I'd pass this info on in case anyone else has toe curling.

hello,
stresses of life w/pd -can make this curly toe monster worse, so if curly toes turn into lower back agony-where the body tries to rip you in half with its own muscles - start a breathing exercise now - perhaps no more curly toes for you - pray for peace and tell your toes -that all is well and hold them. an potasssium magnesium -calcium -omega 3 efa's -and music therapy can be a very good start... There are many routes to mindful concentration; during meditation one might chant, practice breathing exercises, pray, sing, or move. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), meditation may be practiced as a still form with no physical movement and as a moving form, such as in Qi Gong and Tai Qi Quan. There are many different meditative exercises within each form, but all have two things in common, relaxation and focus.
