I think Paula has a special dispensation to think of them all as fun people, since, being from Florida, she never really gets to vote anyway.
I emerged from the therapy pool the other day feeling more steamed than the nice warm water alone could have caused; I had done my physical therapy workout in the company of several women who were busily playing God about which convention delegate (you know, the people whose name you never heard of till the Primary) to vote for based on their assessment of these people's trustworthiness to vote their CONSCIENCE and not their politics, based on their appearance, clothing, religious affiliation, and languages spoken. I resisted the "Judge not.." quote, as I would have been judging them. Politics is just another way of making decisions, and I'm told it can be done with faithfulness to the principles one swears to uphold when taking office. One lady all but admitted her pastor had directed her. The stickler is, in the USA, a religious leader making political recommendations is enough to get the congregation's nonprofit status revoked. And that, dear Rosebud, is an intimate view of some of our voters. And if you don't believe me, try to explain cricket to me. Or gubbadie. Jaye |

Hi everyone:
I took my PD on the road again. My wife and I took a 13 day cruise on the Queen Mary 2. Visited Panama, Bonaire, Curacao, Barbados, St. Thomas...I may have missed one. I told my wife that I wanted to escape the darkness of winter, if only for a little while. We played Scrabble most of the time but it was interesting visiting my former home in Panama. When ever I go "on the road." I am curious to see how my PD reacts to this new environment. I interact with people, eat dinner in mixed company, walk about the ship etc, etc. My PD seemed to weather the new environment. I contracted malaria twice while living in Panama, got jungle rot, ring worm, and a few skin diseases that were not identifiable. The malaria was cured quickly (this was before the malaria bug began to mutate and the skin diseases went away as soon as I went back north. Next month we'll travel to France for a 7 day river boat cruise. I'm preparing my stomach for this. All the best, Lloyd PS I lost most of the Scrabble games and my wife posted a personal best score of 402. |
