Hi Everyone!..Today it was sunny, then it rained, then the sun came out, and it was nice out, not too cold, then it snowed, and froze, and now the wind is howling..What a weird day!..Typical New England
I spent some of the week, when the weather permitted working out in the yard, doing all the things that I couldnt do when I was working this summer, because I used all my energy to work..I made a few trips to the dump, and on the days that were crappy, I started going through my closets, throwing out old clothes that either dont fit anymore, or were just old..I havent been active enough lately, and Im starting to stiffen up a bit..There sure is alot to be said for exercise, and physical activity, and I always notice it when I hang around too much I am pretty much over the sadness of having to break up with my girlfriend..The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I did the right thing, and Im feeling kinda relieved as a result How was your week?

I've been glued to CNN for the last week. and I'm not even an American! This is great fun watching Hillary and Barack counting out their delegates. Some stuff I don't get... I think I understand what a Primary is, but what happens at a caucus? In Canada they declare an election, everyone bad mouths each other then the populace goes out and votes on the appointed day and Bingo!...we have a new Prime Minister. No one votes for the primeminister per say, but rather for the party representative in their neighbourhood that they want to represent them in Ottawa. There are usually6-10 names on the ballot, including the "Green Party" The Marajuana Party and a few independants. If we don't elect a majority govt then we could have another election in less than a year. Splitting the vote (aka divide and conquer) is really not a good thing. I like the two party system, and it works well if at least one of the parties is competant. Not always the case. I could go on but I have to get back to my CNN coverage. My guess is I'm hanging out with a bunch of democrats in this forum -say what?

Our election is the most important thing happening for so many people - and it's a riveting competition - I like them all - they would make a great team. Each has something different to offer and it covers many of our issues in life.
Elect them all I say. paula

checking in politically again ,
This may become habitual until the ..well the entire year. But it would be fun to do it intelligently. It's such a tired system - why do we have to choose between a prisoner of war and maverick who is in the system but is the best to keep us safe. Obama - he hasn't done anything yet but i think when the first significant thing you do is get elected President . the benefits would exceed the risk Hilary, Hilary, wouldn't you have a fun Presidency? Working in a genuine effort to be nicer to the world and each other, and to ourselves. Working with honest men. A woman is naturally honest. Huckabee is just a nice american guy with the longstanding faith of our ancestors here. He is serious because he knows just as much as anyone how much change is needed. Changes for the country, that is, in which his world lives as well. There are quite a few of them. OK -we'll see -but whoever keeps the hate out of it will have my vote. paula

Well I slept nicely for a few days. This started last Thursday and I was ecstatic about it. I actually got 4 full nights in and I felt wonderful. I shouldn't have gotten my nopes up though. Last night was one of those "hot" nights again so today I feel drained and barfy. This Thursday, Valentine's Day to be exact, I visit with my neurologist. Hopefully she can get me straightened out with my medication so I can sleep better. I'll let everyone know the outcome of my visit.
On the good side though, I've made my airline arrangements for my upcoming vacation in May. If I mentioned this before ignore it, but I've decided to go on a wild vacation instead of just vegging at home for two weeks. This year I'm going storm chasing with the guys you see on The Discovery Channel and The Weather Channel. This is with a professional tour group called Silver Lining Tours, and the owners have also done documentaries for National Geographic, and NOAA. This sounds pretty interesting and maybe if I'm capable, I'll go next year as well. From what other tour members have told me via the forum, once hooked it's like a bag of potato chips. I will be traveling with a fellow Bay Stater from Uxbridge. It shows how small the world is when you find local people like this! Steve - I'm glad you're feeling better. You did the right thing. So we should vote for the one with the least slime. How would we go about measuring for slime. I'm open minded.
