Below is a news article on a man who has been on LDN since 2004.
Regards, Ashley

http://www.mailtribune.com/apps/pbcs...100308/-1/LIFE

"Marquez said her father started taking 3 mg a day late in 2004, far less than the 50 mg that's prescribed for addiction treatment.
"It was like a miracle," she recalled.
Marquez said the spasticity in her father's left leg disappeared over several days, and his caregiver said he stopped complaining about back pain.
Speech is difficult for Bentley, 78, a former Marine and marathon runner who worked as a forester and wrote two mystery novels, but he said LDN "stopped the progression" of his symptoms. Naltrexone apparently works by stimulating the body's own immune system, said Dr. Ian Zagon, a professor of neural and behavioral sciences at Pennsylvania State University."
Dear Ashley : Thank you for the wealth of info.
I take more than a dozen vitamins and supplements and I am tempted to add a new old safe drug
But what is your personal experience after 44 months of use? Why you still believe in it?

Default Since there is no documented human data on LDDM...

All I can provide is my own experience, which is informed by a lifetime of observing PD in my own family and a career of teaching and research as a non-MD medical school/graduate school faculty member in the area of biochemistry and molecular biology.

In addition to generic Sinemet (carbidopa/levodopa) and coenzyme Q10, I take 3.5-5 mg of dextromethorphan every night just before bedtime, usually about 11:00 PM. This is 1/2 to 1/3 teaspoon of an over-the-counter pediatric cough preparation containing 7.5 mg of DM per 5 ml (teaspoon). It is available at many grocery stores and most pharmacies in the USA.

Here is link to the LDN sticky on our MS Forums. There are many members on it. It follows their progress and helps answer questions. There are links to a compounding pharmacy that may be help with questions.
