Default parkinson's and costochondritis

I have been recently diagnosed with Costochondritis (sp?). It is an inflammation of the chest wall. It creates ongoing chest pain/tightening. Treatment is anti-inflammatory meds and PT for muscle strengthening. I have had parkinson's disease for 9 years.
Has anyone else with PD dealt with Costochondritis? Any input would be helpful.

I was diagnosed with chondritis before my pd dx. I had a very sore and achy sensation to the right of my sternum and a tight feeling across my chest that was restricting my breathing, to the extent that I was often short of breath. Anti inflamatory meds didn't help and I was surprised a couple of years later when sinemet almost completely got rid of the tightness and pain. Today it is creeping back, by which I conclude that I may soon need a meds adjustment. I am sure that for me it is a pd thing, which yours may not be. I know that there are others who have experienced chest tightness and discomfort as a result of pd. The way that I understand these symptoms is that if they return when my meds wear off, then it is a pd thing.....

Best wishes with getting this sorted out.
