Hi Jean,
I see where you have posted that Karen Painter has copyrighted the design - but is allowing people to freely use it! I'm going to try to incorporate it into one of my segmented bowl designs. Then donate it for auction for PD research. GregD

At the PD conference (on Saturday) presented by the Midwest Chapter of APDA, the 300 attendees each received a PD tulip pin.

Wow! I attended the APDA Midwest Chapter Symposium in the Chicago area. What a fabulous design! The pins look fabulous!
I hope to use the design in other ways also. Perhaps we could create a notecard that our support group could use for: 1) thank you's, 2) general acknowledgements, 3) memorial acknowledgements, 4) other things we haven't even thought of yet. I love the concept of one unified symbol for PD. If we can't have one unified organization, at least we can have one unified symbol! Thanks to Jean B., Cheryl and Karen Painter (the artist) for making this happen. Here's to tulips for PD! lizzy4451 AKA paula

Hi - did you know that a tulip continues to grow after it is cut? Also it is one of few flowers that will adapt itself to the type of container used -
straight sided vase they will stand up straight - bowl type they will droop. |

Jean - I had forwarded your info a week or so ago and I got a call today from the Movement Disorder Center at Presbyterian Hospitol Dallas. They are going to incorporate the symbol in some of their stuff.
Thanks so much!
