Bonnie, think of it this way, if the extract of mucuna part of it is 250 mgs that are 40% L-dopa (which is natural - mucuna does contain dopamine, which is part of how it works), then you have about 100-odd mgs. of L-dopa there - which is the amount that would be in one 25/100 Sinemet. But then if you have all that other 500 mgs of mucuna seed - which I have no idea how to evaluate - then there's probably more than that. It's not that mucuna doesn't have dopamine - it just seems to be delivered in a network or form of some kind - supported by other antioxidants or something else, that apparently is not toxic or not so toxic, and probably has something else besides that is actually neuroprotective...anyway, that's the hypothesis as I've been able to find out so far. But dopamine might still not be for you, I don't know....
