First of all I would like to thank Jean and Thelma for getting the ball rolling.
A coupole of weeks ago, I started a petition to allow IPLEX not being allowed to be sold in the US. The good news is a seperate group of PALS and CALS have taken a big push to get this into the media an beyond. More than 1000 people have signed already, and interesting enough, the petition has drawn enough attention that one of the stock holders posted the following message. "7:23 am PDT, Aug 20, Name not displayed, Maryland In the interest of full disclosure, I am an Insmed stockholder. It should be noted that Insmed has no legal limitations on its ability to market and sell Iplex. They simply choose not to so that they will not have to pay the steep royalties. Insmed and TRCA/Ipsen BOTH need to come to their senses and reach a deal that will allow ALS sufferers to at least try this treatment off-label. " As we've all said before, it's all about money. Here's a link to the ongoing petition. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/all...rofits-instead John |
