Toad is still in ICU--but walked a bit yesterday. The nurses are determined to get him to walk a longer distance today. Nanny feels that he'll probably be back in his room by tomorrow. He's also getting his back pounded on by the nurses every day so that the fluid in his lungs doesn't get congested.
Soon, they will move him to a different floor so that he can begin 3 hours of therapy daily. So things are moving in the right direction! |

I once saw a child with cerebral palsy getting "pounded on" by a nurse. I thought "How crude!" But it is one of the best things one can do to get that extra mucous out of the lungs.
Let's send prayers and good vibes Toad's way. Peg |

I just spoke with Toad, and he said that the fun is over and now the war is about to begin. They are going to start him in physical therapy day after tomorrow. OUCH!!!!!. He said to ask everyone to keep praying for him.
