Better diagnostics. At the moment we only have "I think it is PD."
I did better reading above and see this has been found: posted by JeanB: We need to get FDA approval for DAT (dopamine transporter imaging) imaging with SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography). This has been tested and found to identify parkinson's disease in people with early PD. I was one hundreds tested in the PRECEPT and PostCEPT trials (2003-2005). And there are other trials going on right now. So why isn't there a big push to complete the trials and to use it as an FDA approved diagnostic tool?
