Congressional Support Secured for Defense Parkinson’s Research

Thank you for writing, e-mailing, and calling your Members of Congress about Parkinson's research at the Department of Defense. Your hard work resulted in 23 Senate signers and 69 House signers on the Neurotoxin Exposure Treatment Parkinson's Research (NETPR) program Dear Colleagues!

As you know, the Dear Colleague letters request $55 million for the NETPR program in the Fiscal Year 2010 Defense Appropriations bill. The letters have been sent to the Senate and House Defense Subcommittees who will soon meet to establish next year's funding level for the NETPR program and the entire Defense bill.

As we thank you for your hard work, please take a moment to e-mail your Members of Congress and thank them for signing the NETPR program Dear Colleague or express your disappointment for their lack of support.
