Default OT Shouting not intended

I guess you can tell I am not proficient with the computer. I believe that caps mean that one is shouting, and believe me I am not doing any shouting. I just was so excited and frustrated about the difficulty I had rejoining the forum. It took many attempts. Now I do not want to waste you valuable time, just want you to know I have been here before as Doreen, pwp of therese. I have had PD for probably unofficially 12-13 years, officically 10 and I just want to be back here for your support and to support you. We fight a tough road which I feel few understand so I want to get all the help I can and give back to you. So, with that message I wish all of you a good day knowing that everyone of them is different as far as PD goes. Thanks for wading through this and I promise that I will not shout anymore.

Default lol...

i missed the shouting, but I 'll bet it looked funny! You are among some dyskinetic and frozen typists. There are a lot of things [it seems anymore] that are just so much work, like registering and posting somewhere new. I've posted and never discovered where it went.

Welcome D,
paula

Default Confusion abounds!

Good morning Jaye....you are as confused about my name as I am about myself! Lol......what is the old saying, call me anything as long as you call me for dinner. Actually, I would like to be called Doreen......Georgeann was chosen because I could not register under Doreen. I have question for you....if I want to reply from a thread, and arrive at the message box, do I have to delete message that is there and I am responding to? Confused? I will not give up the ship....therese is here trying to help me but I confuse her too.

Lightbulb

Hi, GeorgeAnn...

If you hit the Quote button on the right side of the post, it will quote
the post and show in the reply text box.

If you look far over to the left, the large Reply button, it will give you a blank text box. There are both ways of replying.

In busy threads, some people like the Quote function.
At other times you may just want to simply reply with no quote, so use the left sided reply button.
You can also highlight and remove any quoted text if you change your mind...highlight it and hit delete and it will go way. You have to delete all including the [ ] parts, or some will still show, and may be confusing.
You have 24 hrs to edit, change a post. If you make a little mistake you can correct it easily. Just use the edit function.

Default Names

Actually, J. is my first initial, and Jaye is my assumed screen name, although most of my friends from here use 'Jaye' when we meet in person, simply because they're used to it. I don't use my real name on this forum because I like an extra layer of privacy. Confused yet? I re-assumed my maiden name after my first marriage broke up, but left my daughter's name the same as her father's. When I married my true husband I kept my maiden name, and his daughters kept his name, so that among the six of us there were three last names when they were growing up. Two of them have now taken their husbands' names but kept their maiden names as their middle names, so now when we get together we have four last names plus two last names used as middle names.

LOL,

Jaye
