medical device implant The Braingate project has begun recruiting participants to assess the new wireless version of the brain-computer interface. Dubbed as Braingate2, the new system is meant to be completely implantable, receiving power and maintaining communications via a wireless connection. Power and control of the device is delivered via RF, while the signal from the brain interface comes back via an infrared laser shining through the skull.
