Default Tingly lips

I believe it's the PN making my lips tingle but does anyone know what some other possibilities would be?

Marty I had really bad tingly lips when my PN first started. It then went away, came back and went away again. It really is a weird symptom....

Yeah mine does the same thing and all the doctors look at me and say that's not PN. It's got to be though, I think??

Marty,

I've just started gettting these feelings this week. I'm getting them around the mouth and on the nose as well.
Its nice to know I'm not alone in this.

Is it half your lips or your whole lips?

Half my lips tingle all the time (the left side), but the right side doesn't. I have a lot of numbness on the left side of my face, so this is part of my PN.

If both sides started to tingle at the same time, then I personally would suspect another cause. For them to both start up at the same time the nerves on each side of the face would have to be affected at the exact same time which is not impossible i guess.

My facial PN is split right down the middle as that is the way the nerves work in this area.

Other options can include chronic hyperventilation (even one extra breath a minute can cause this).

Question

Marty, do they tingle 24/7 or just every once in a while?

Mine tingle when I eat jalapeno peppers with cheese & crackers.
And then I get a tingle the next day, too (but not on the lips ) !

No not 24/7 but when they start up it can last days or weeks. I get the creepy crawlies on my chin allot and sometimes the back of my head and face.

Oh I just remembered that the other day when I was driving with the window down the slight vibration the wind caused made my lips pulsate in waves. Really weird feeling.
