Lightbulb What mercury does to neurons...Video

This was posted at the Autism forum here, by Chemar.

It has real video of what the toxin mercury does to neurons.

I found it really interesting. And it might pertain to some people here who have toxin induced PN:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHqVDMr9ivo

And the new H1N1 vaccine will contain mercury!

http://www.mnprogressiveproject.com/...s-h1n1-vaccine

This link explains what will be in the vaccine and explains the ingredients:

If one was tested for heavy metals and it came back negative does that mean were ok? Would dental fillings so up in the heavy metal test if they had mercury in them? How would one find out if they have mercury fillings?

Mercury is stored in the body, and may not show up past the
initial exposure, in a test.

As far as dental fillings go, I am on the fence with that one.

Some people get hair tests too. But those have to be done by
a very qualified lab, as there are poor ones out there.

Certainly vaccines have typically been a big source of mercury.
So is eating fish from contaminated waters.

The mercury will be in the multi-dosed vials. Those have to be shaken well before each shot is removed. It is thought that when the vial is not shaken properly or at all, then the person getting the last dose gets a whopping one.

Thiomersal was removed from some children's vaccines recently. But not all.

Unit dose shots, will be mercury free, and more expensive and less available I suspect.

Between 1953 and 1956 an unknown illness in Minamata Japan was affecting the nervous systems of many people. They found that it was induced by eating large amounts of fish contaminated by mercury. The mercury came from a new industrial plant which had been manufacturing acetaldehyde and vinyl compounds on a large scale. The study group realized that the major factor in the illness was the presence of methyl mercury in fish.

Can you believe that the Japanese are still suffering from this problem because of the waste from chemical factories is still being pumped into the sea ---and the Japanese eat a lot of fish.

Default We all have it....

There's no way to escape mercury. We all have it to some level as well as other metals/toxins from the environment. John did a heavy metal challenge. He collected his urine for 24 hour and they assessed it for heavy metals. He was in the normal range for all heavy metals. He then took a chelator, repeated the 24 hour urine collection and the level of lead excreted was high and mercury was elevated. So a lot depends on what kind of testing you are looking at. His blood serum tests and red cell analysis for heavy metals were normal also. The question is....are these levels effecting his health. There are those who say absolutely and others say kind of, while others say absolutely not. I say it plays a role in your overall health and the more you can get rid of, the better you'll be.

Everyone has toxic burden and when your body can no longer handle detoxing or neutralizing metals, chemicals, etc, they then get stored in the fat and organs and stay there. And some of us have a better detox pathways than others. If yours is in good shape, then you will deal with eliminating them better. If not, then the system breaksdown and effects your health.

Dr. Shari Rodgers has written quite a bit on our toxic living and the impacts on our health. You may want to google her.

Also, if you have any metal fillings in your mouth, then they contain mercury.

Regarding the Hair Analysis....Mrs D is so right....you need a really good doc to interpret it and you should never base supplementation/detoxing based solely upon a hair analysis test. Case in point is John again. He had his hair analyzed and his iron showed up as normal at a time when he had a very significant iron overload issue from many red cell transfusion. The high iron will mess with zinc/copper results also. Another example....high levels of zinc in the hair can indicate a vitamin D shortage because zinc will dump into the hair and not because you have too much zinc.

What does a chelator do? Is this something we should be doing from time to time?

Red face

A chelator grabs onto heavy metals and allows the kidneys to excrete them.

It is often non-specific...that is removes many things at one time.

Chelation is highly controversial, and only used for certain things.
Immediate poisonings, things like that.
At one point it was very "in" and a fad of sorts.

It is offered as a treatment for some disease states including autism. It should only be considered when a highly trained experienced doctor offers it.

People do get poisoned by work accidents, criminal activity,
chemical spills, well water (arsenic) etc.
Mercury continues to be very controversial. There was just a story on vacation to not eat certain fish in the Great Lakes, as we were having fresh whitefish once a week!

Hi Marty,

I think the quick answer is probably YES, we should be addressing our heavy metal burdens. How we do it safely is the challenge. You can first look at all the stuff we are exposed to and attempt to reduce or eliminate them. Then look at what you personally need to support your liver and digestive systems. Pretty much all anti-oxidant have chelating attributes, either directly or indirectly. As Mrs D stated, you can go to the far end of the spectrum with Pharmaceuticals like IV EDTA, DMSA, DMPA done at the docs offfice...not cheap either, can also be done orally or you can address heavy metals with a more natural approach. Baths, sauna, vitamins, minerals, etc. Alpha Lipoic Acid, a nutrient many with PN use, is also a heavy metal chelator. The herb cilantro is also strong chelator provided it's grown organically in lead free soil.

Many times, as people start removing heavy metals, candida/parasites issue surface because there's a belief the heavy metals keep them in check in your body. So you need to make sure you can support your entire body when you chelate. The other controversy surrounding chelation is that the body cannot handle the amount of metals being mobilized, called dumping, which are then reabsorbed and deposited into other organs. So going too fast is not good in my opinion unless you are in a crisis with serious heavy metal poisoning.

John was on a pharmaceutical oral chelator for his iron overload and it was tough on his body. Messed with his kidneys and digestion, as well as his zinc levels. He's now able to deal with the remaining iron by giving blood every other month. A much better option.

Probably more than you wanted to know...M
