I am so puzzle with what is going on with my body.
My right side of my face and the back of my head, my right ear, neck and right arm getting this tingling going on. It get so irritable to the point that it starts itching. I don't know if this is PN because the tingling is severe then it starts itching. Usually with the PN I do get tingling, numbness and pain, but not itching. Can this be PN? Trish ![]() |

I have a seperate skin condition that causes me to itch a lot. I feel like I have a rash sometimes but there is nothing but dry skin. Are you on any new meds? Does it look different the areas you itch? I have heard of others having this too. It is hard to know what is part of this condition and seperate. If it does not get better you could go to a dermatolgist. Mine rx some shampoo and also I used cream which helped.

I think tingling and itching can be due to histamine release too.
Many foods do this. And also MSG additive in foods may do it. If you Google "histamine containing foods", you may find some hints there.

I have phantom itching at times especially in my feet. In my case, it's the nerves. Nothing to do with anything else. I have CMT.

Thanks to you all, and Mrs.D thanks for the information about histamine release. I do know my IC acts up with histamine release so maybe that is what was causing the itching.

I get the itching on my thighs. One day, not even realizing I was itching, I left huge finger marks on my upper thigh, it even turned black and blue. I don't even remember scratching it. My arms will do it too...it comes on fast and hard, and leaves within the hour. Very weird. I figure it's nerves too.

Thats how my Bells Palsy began, have you been checked for it? Also, maybe you should get a nerve conduction study done. There are hundreds of nerve disorders/diseases,be sure your doctor does not give up, and gets to the bottom of it. Good Luck!
