I am about to get some dental work done; and, was wondering if this could cause a flare up of symptoms (diagnosed with CMT).
Is there anything I should avoid? Ofcourse I will advise my dentist of my diagnosis; but would like to know if I should tell him to avoid certain meds/dental filling materials/drilling concerns, etc. |

The only thing I've found is Nitrous Oxide. (Inhalation abuse). Maybe rest your jaw if it has to be open for an extended period of time. They do have something to put in your mouth to ease this. I can't remember what it's called.
Otherwise, I don't think you have to worry about anything. http://www.charcot-marie-tooth.org/med_alert.php Hope this helps. It can be different for everyone with CMT. Your dentist probably knows next to nothing about CMT. Maybe I'm wrong.
