I did not know what forum to post this question to.
I recently was in the hospital and following many vein punches to diagnose my problem I developed edema. The cardiologist told me not to worry, the edema was not related to the heart but was caused by many vein punches. I cannot get rid of the edema. I keep my hand on a pile of pillows so the hand is over the heart but it doesn't help. Any feedback will be appreciated. |

You can try putting a cold pack on the wrist.
I had terrible problems when I had IV's when I had my C-Section. One of them was Aldomet and it caused phlebitis in my hand veins. My hands hurt more than my incision! I found putting a cold pack on the wrist, contracted the ligament enough so that the circulation to hands improved. It is free and non toxic and may help.
