It wasn't too bad. I managed to hit the Outlet Mall and a movie today. I have such bad cabin fever. Ugh. Three more months to go. Seems like a lifetime right now.

I's 23 now on the island. I moved here from Michigan, so I was used to cold weather, much colder than here, but now, I am used to Long Island weather, and I don't like 23. The cold is much harder on my neuropathy too, so much aching now, and my feet are always so cold, nothing warms them.

This morning, I was leaving for work, walked over to throw some trash in the garbage can and must of hit some black ice, down I wentmy right hand, right hip, and the side of my leg. My hand burned for a long time, probably feel it more in the hip when I go to bed. Old bones hate falling.

I want summer back!!

Default Oh Boy

I don't know Cycleopes.....I wonder if it is a good idea to do the "Cheesehead" thing on this forum. There are many hardcore Vikings fans that can't the green and yellow....(However...I am old enough to remember when Mn actually cheered for Greenbay....that was before Mn even had a team. We cheered for Bart Starr....Paul Hornung...Jim Taylor....Ray Nitschke and Vince Lombardi!

Eh, Jak, I am not hard core. I am just as likely to watch HGTV than football on any given day.

Deb, I hope you are OK. Falling is not good!

Went out, to eat with friends - last nite. Wind chill coming off the Chesapeake Bay and Baltimore Harbor must've been around 12-15 above.
Got a bit snockered , wife got really wasted .
Spent from 6pm til midnite at that bar/restaurant.
The Cook is a son of very good friends.
I say Cook with a capital 'C' cause...he's great.
Best Md. Crabcakes I've ever had in my entire lifetime, I believe .
His crabcakes have been written-up and given awards by local critics and newspapers. but we stayed too long, gabbing with friends and the Chef.
I'd sobered up for the short drive home (about 1 mile) , but my wife kept the "Christmas Cosmo's" coming (your basic "Cosmipolitan", spruced up a bit) right up til we left .
My feet hurt when we got home, but no ill effects today, for me - wife is a bit, shall we say. 'under the weather' today .

I was just kidding Cyclelops....Now that I'm 60, I don't having purple running threw my veins anymore....but, the Vikes did win today, and they received a bye in the playoffs....How weird would it be, if the purple's number one nemesis would win the Super Bowl? Very weird.

The San Francisco Bay Area where I am from generally has a fairly mild climate. It doesn't really get too cold, or too hot etc., for any great length of time. I have to say though, this winter we have had some icy days for sure. I've even lost a couple of my plants outside. I really can hurt terribly in the morning, both with my arthritis and my neuropathy, but on cold icy mornings, it's so much worse. I roll out of bed like I'm 100 years old sometimes, groaning and grunting like some wounded animal. It's really a site.

6 F here---cold for our area--outside of St. Louis. Didn't go to church. Was afraid of triggering the Trigeminal neuralgia and making my leg pain worse. My face is twitching and I am at the point of passing out when upright. Rough time the past 4 days. My compression stockings help keep me warm in the cold.

This sure is booger weather---hand me a tissue cyclelops.

My son is now a Minneapolis resident and wondering if he was crazy when he decided to move there.

My kitty has taken over the Snuggli blanket I kept on the sofa for myself! I guess she can have it... she has a need, obviously.

I have a pic in my siggie now showing her!
