Did anyone try chiropractic?

--chiropractic adjustments seem to help some and not others.

I would suspect that such treamtment would be most helpful for those whose neuropathy is primarily compressive in nature, especially if it stems from pressure on spinal nerve roots or other large nerves that go through the lumbar or brachial plexuses, but that would have to be establishes first, adn other systemic etiologies eliminated.

I do think that the emphasis some chiropractors have on wholistic approaches and nutrition and posture can be a good thing.

Also, as Melody/Alan can report, a neurological chiropractor may be a good choice for those with neurological issues--they have more training in the nervous system's ineractions than "standard" chiropractors.

About 40 years ago, I ruputered a lower disc on my back. I guess I was lucky, as I was refered to a chiropractor. He kept me on my feet, and comfortable until he died a few years ago. Granted, I couldn't lift, or carry, the things that I could before the injury, and from time to time, I would have to return for treatment when I " knocked" my back out again, but, as always, he would put it back in place, have me do some back strengthening exercises, and I would be able to get on with life again.
I will be the first to admit that some chiropractors are not nearly as good as others. Today, there are those who use the little viabrator on your back as you sit leaned over, and when the treatment is over, it is always the same, "see you in three weeks". I personally do not believe in that "every three week" business. I know when I need help. And then, there are those whose treatment is so rough that you wind up worse than when you started.
As I said, I guess I was lucky to start off with a man who really believed in what he was doing, and who saw to it that he had all the training available to make the right decisions for his patients. I hope, if you choose to see a chiropractor, that you are as lucky as I.

I had one chiro who claimed he could 'cure' my PN in 20 visits (10 weeks)
at only $65 per visit (10% off if I paid up-front). I wasn't insured for it, &
doubted his 'snake-oil' salesmanship.

I would try to find an expert chiropractor. The one I found is very helpful for my issues.

Same as with medical doctors or anything else - there are good ones & not so good ones...

I'm really very tempted to go to a Chiriopat.

I have a mussle contraction near my cervical ad neck that don't seem to live me alone for 4 months. And it worsen with cold. I have this contraction after I went to a Ostiopath, that only streached my cervical.

Do Chiriopats, when they ajust your spine, resolve this mussle contractions?

The chiriopat I intend to go uses a MyoVison exam (sMG). Does anyone knows if this exam is trusty? Have anyone tryed it? It seems very Hi-teck.
