Hi;
The calf of my left leg feels like it should look like a wrung-out wash cloth!!! I get this sensation a lot. Does anybody else have this? If so, what is it and how is it treated or is it just one more thing I have to "live with"? ![]()

Hi Rose ~ I think I know what you mean. The pain goes on and on and the leg(s) feels like there shouldn't be anything left!
I've had this for almost 24 years now, stemming from a lousy surgery, and it's been just awful. They call it neuropathy, but to me it's sciatica! It's goes from the back to the hip down the leg and into the foot! Sure doesn't sound like neuropathy to me! LOL. Anyway, bless your heart ~ the ONLY thing (besides meds, that only take the edge off) that helps is ice. Heat makes things worse. Heat draws blood to an already irritated area, an area that's already inflamed. Ice take out the inflammation, and the swelling. Plus it numbs the area. So it's ice for me every time. My Neurosurgeon sent me to "Back School" ~ it was a School for spinal patients, where we learned how to survive in a normal world. ![]() I hope you find some relief, dearheart. I hope you have some meds too, to at least take the edge off! God bless, and take care. Peace, Lee ![]()

Well I am not exactly sure what you mean but my calves get so tight they feel like they have no circulation and like they are stretching and make it hard to propel my leg. My pain doc said its all part of the condition and the treatment aka meds etc will help all the symptoms. I am not sure if this is true or a guess. For me baths help too. No ice though for me.
