It's good that you have such a good attitude about having to wait a little longer, you're right, after dealing with it for so long you can wait a couple more days but it still sucks to have to wait. I hated the burning feet when I had the problem and thought I could handle anything else but I never wanted to feel that again. And then after my heart failure on Thanksgiving they took me off of the nifedipine for 30 days and it was torture! My feet were right back to it. I begged the cardiologist to let me have it again after the 30 days of wearing the monitor and thankfully they did. I hope you get some relief soon (from the burning feet and the stinkbugs!) Have a great weekend! Talk to you later. |

OK, it's almost two weeks since I first called to say I wanted to try this and the nurse is still saying that he's not answering her e-mails.
Stinkbugs--I'd eat a whole bowl of them with 2% every morning if it would make the pain better, but since that's not likely, I'll just keep on squishing them. Saw a thing on the local news where they said that they're coming out to breed(?) or something...at least it's not just me.

Keep a record of the dates and times you'd called? When you actually see that doc? Just hand him a copy listing the # of attempts you made.
Keep it up. Be relentless. Often these 'assistants' are called 'nurses'? But you and I are likely as qualified or more? They're glorified gatekeepers. So, let your doc know you aren't very happy about this 'issue'.. start looking for alternatives [unless you've gone thru the 'list' already]. Good luck to all! PLEASE THO? No more 'stinkbug talk'? You're giving me the willies! They're even HARD to kill.... ICH. hugs to all etc. - j |

Hey, when I said that waiting a week or two didn't matter that much, it's not like I really meant it or something.
Keep track and tell him when I see him? I probably wouldn't get to actually see him for months. I had to wait six months to see him the first time. He's supposed to be Mr. PN authority in this city. And the guy who recommended the CCB was doc2 (Rehab Med specialist) who this doc (doc1) referred me to but wanted doc1 to approve and write the script(s). See why I just said "my doc?" Dr. Smith, I don't get the sense that the nurse is that bad. I believe her that my doc doesn't answer his e-mails. Maybe he's too busy watching General Hospital to answer her?

I bet he watches House. LOL
Doing an intervention for circulation is not really a neurologist's job... he may expect your GP or internist to do it.
