Mine was caused by a specific injury, unlike what I've read from the majority of you. I'd like to touch base with someone who has had a sudden onset from an injury, if possible, to compare notes & such.

i suffered a car accident, 3 years ago; one drunk driver hit us from behind... its being a long challenge, the injury itself, understand about PN, language limitations, cope with pain, depression and fight to improve and start a new life. here in UK theres no neuropathy awareness as USA. i never saw a neurologist. i feel alone. learning from internet is what keep me going and giving me the answers that i dont get from doctors. nice to meet you here. |

jbuddyjim hello peppermintpatty, mine was caused by a neglegent worker in Lowes who did not know how to use a rip saw.He pulled a 4ft by 8ft O S B board(80 lbs) on both my feet across my toes (sept 9,06) now I don't have use of my toes. It was like a child learning to walk again. However after you walk on your heels a while they hurt so you learn again this is the third time I have. i have tried every thing I could find that I thought could help. now I am trying a new type of b-1 and b-12 combo that seems to be helping a little however I was taking two a day now I am upping to four a day which is what is reccomended. I didn;t know I was allergic to anything until this happened now I have discovered I am to nearly all chemicals so I am real careful about what I take. the only thing I use is GABAPENTIN AND LIDOCAINE OINTMENT with out side effects. I had to move out of our bed room and get a new bed for myself. did you know that trama is the no. one cause of periphel neuropathy in the U.S. If you need more info go to the national institute of neurological disorders and stroke then peripheral neuropathy there is a lot of information out there to learn from! The only thing I can say for certain is be careful what you take because it can kill. most of the things I try is as natural as I can find. If I can give you any help just let me know and I will sure try. By for now
